Three Clubs changed thir names for the 2009-10 season. Gosforth Bohemians dropped their “Garnett” suffix, Red Row welfare were rebranded Morpeth sporting Club and Benfield Chemfica became Newcastle Chemfica (Independant)

 Due to the horrendous weather that we experienced this season the Charity Cup was cancelled after our win at South Shields, not a lot the fixture secretary could do as the bad weather stretched well into March.
Relegated from the Premier League was Newcastle University and Heddon and from Division One Northbank Carlisle and Seaton Burn took the drop. With a small restructure of the League for 2010-11 when all the Divisions were to consist of seventeen teams each Forest Hall who were third in Division Two were also promoted
